Derwent XL Graphite

Derwent XL is a drawing range of extra large graphite blocks. They are water-soluble, releasing rich colour and silvery graphite for tonal washes and painting with a distinctive soft feel. Large 20mm square by 60mm long blocks, great for broad gestural strokes. Ideal for sensitive line work and subtle blending, to expressive marks and deep tonal work. Create different marks with sides,edges and corners. Use an embossing tool to create lines and add texture. Tactile, use your fingers to smudge and move colour around.
